Thank you for an amazing 2015
Well, as we come to the end of a successful, eventful and fun year I’d like to take the opportunity to thank you all for you continued support, commitment and loyalty.
I’m so proud of each and every one of my dog and handler combinations for various reasons and different accomplishments and have loved watching the varying successes, relationships and bonds grow.
Over December we had a number of festive parties, incorporating training of course, and these sessions were such good fun to be a part of and all who took part looked to have a fabulous time. As well as the festive games there were also a couple of class trips, which proved successful and will definitely be a more frequent part of 2016 – although perhaps in a less muddy environment for those who don’t want their dogs mud bathing! Charlotte is doing well with her diploma as well as juggling her full time job, her 3 dogs, cat, horse, chickens, walking clients and assisting me in classes. Once qualified, Charlotte will be undertaking behaviour consultations too.
On a personal note, it’s been a busy one for me in a number of ways. Gaining a distinction in my Higher Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour and Training was certainly an amazing highlight of my year and I’ve loved, and look forward to continue to, putting all I’ve learned into practice and doing more behavioural consultations alongside the training classes.
I’m honoured to be a part of the team getting the Black and Tan Coonhound recognised in the UK. This has been a challenge in more ways than one and has tested me in my training abilities and home life but it’s a journey I’m thoroughly loving, very passionate about and I love learning something new about this amazing breed every day! Jester is certainly a character!
It’s been a tough year for my Labrador and his health, but his condition is manageable and he’s loving life again and found a passion in freestyle / heelwork to music! He’s got all the moves and adores training, it’s me as his handler with 2 left feet and the coordination of a tree that lets him down! But, we enjoy ourselves and are extremely fortunate to train with the ever so talented and wonderful Kim Lyddon and Catherine McKay.
There’s a lot of exciting things planned at Rixton Dog School in 2016, so watch this space………..!
So, on that note, I would like to wish you a happy new year and wish you all the best for 2016.
With love,
xxx
