Owner, Trainer & Canine Behaviourist: Debra Adderley Dip.CABT (QCF 5)
Debra has always had a passion for working with animals as well as sharing her life with them and shares her life with Jester, who is a Black and Tan Coonhound, Hugo, who is a Dutch Warmblood and Arthur who is an English Pointer!
In 2012 she completed the Dogwise course with The Centre of Applied Pet Ethology (COAPE), in 2014 passed the COAPE higher diploma (Certa Level 4 Diploma in The Principles of Companion Animal Behaviour and Training) and in September 2015 passed, with a Grade A Distinction, the COAPE Higher Diploma, which is a QCF Level 5 qualification (Certa Level 5 Diploma in the Practical Application of Companion Animal Behaviour and Training), and gained the title Debra Adderley DipCABT COAPE Behaviourist & Trainer. Debra is canine first aid trained having done a course with Rachel BeanRVN and is a proud member of The Coape Association of Applied Pet Behaviourists and Trainers CAPBT, the Association of Pet Dog Trainers APDT and The Animal Behaviour and Training Council ABTC.
Debra completed the Kennel Club Good Citizen scheme from Puppy Foundation to Gold with Cooper, her Lab who she sadly lost in April 2022, who also trained in freestyle and heelwork to music. She completed puppy classes and the GCDS Bronze and Silver with Jester and is continuing with scent work. Arthur has completed the Puppy Foundation, GCDS Bronze and qualified for and attended Crufts 2024 where he behaved impeccably and he has since qualified for Crufts 2025! Debra has experienced both the learning and teaching side of dog training so can empathise with her clients as she knows too well how tricky things can sometimes be!
Debra passed the Royal Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme examiners course and can assess Bronze and Silver awards, is a full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT membership number 01436) and, for 8 years, was an assessor for Pets As Therapy (PAT) but resigned in July 2024. Alongside these commitments, Debra attends regular CPD workshops, courses & seminars as well as mentoring students from local colleges.
Puppy Class Assistant and Rally Instructor: Sue Palmer-Tarburton
Sue is a dog lover through and through, hugely favouring Staffordshire Bull Terriers! Sue completed Puppy Class, Bronze, Silver and Gold with her SBT Lexi and they have gone on to excel in Rally and are out successfully competing at Level 4. Sue is the founder of the Rixton Rally Team (AKA Rixton Rally Reprobates!) and is always looking for new recruits to join in! She also has Ziggy, an SBT, who has passed Puppy Foundation, Bronze and Silver and now attends Gold and Agility classes.
Sue passed, with Distinction, a Dog Training Diploma in December 2023 and passed, with distinction, a diploma in Canine Behaviour and Training in August 2024.
Founder : Carol Richardson
Carol has been a dog lover all her life and has owned a variety of breeds. She has a diploma in dog grooming and has been working with dogs for over 30 years. She has also worked within boarding kennels and rescue kennels for many of those years. She has owned many rescue dogs that went on to be very loyal family dogs, with some going on to compete and win in competition.
In 2007 she completed, and passed, a three year FsSc degree in Canine Behaviour and Training at Bishop Burton College and in 2008 completed and passed the Foundation Dog Instructors Course with the APDT and has been mentored by many of the high ranking national and international dog agility specialists.
The animals that share her life are 4 dogs, a cat and a horse.
